John 4:34-38
That place, where I desire deeper clarity and I am pulled deeper into His purpose for me.
I have gotten to a place where I am content in knowing that no matter where I am or what I am doing, I am to prepare the Way of my Lord, to make Straight His Path.
This is the charge to all who desire to Walk with Him daily, for all who claim to Love and adore Him, for all who are Kingdom minded and about our Father's Business.How can He come through us into the lives of others unless we do our part?
We are to live His Teachings, not just memorize them and spit them back at others I believe is what He meant. How we Live Speaks Volumes about who we Really are.
The daily work of "making the way straight" can be done with or without words, it can be done with one or more, but this Work must always be done.
Daily focusing on His purpose, (our minds are made up), we reach a place where doing this Work is like breathing, we don't think about doing it, we just do.
When our part is done we then leave to Him to decide When He will pass along the Way made for Him.
We may not be there to witness this, or we might be. We pray for the places we have sown His seeds, and we move on to the next place He leads us to.
What this means is that, we can't force people to begin to accept His changes until they want to do so.
When His spirit leads us to speak about Him, or to show actions of love, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, etc... making the Way straight for Him, sowing seeds of good in hearts, that is all we are to do.
We should not verbally push on and pound people, wondering what is taking them so long to "get there". We should pray the Lord bless the soil (heart) so that it will not kill the seed, but will allow it to grow.
I have never heard of a farmer who planted the seeds and then sat on the ground watching and waiting for them to take root and grow through the soil. Nor does the farmer dig the seeds up to see if they are still there. That disturbs the process that is required for the seed to germinate, begin to grow roots and to become established.
That place where He reminds us, that we some times, many times do a work that is silent, a work of preparation that is not seen, known about nor applauded by others. It's not for our glory, the glory belongs to God.
This work is directed by His Spirit, we are shown who He seeks to draw near to Him.
He points them out, we don't have to randomly go up to any and every body "we think" needs to know and hear about Him. Doing this, will likely push people away.
He knows His lost and when we completely allow Him to guide us, He will direct us to them, And He will also direct us concerning what needs to be said to these of His.
Remember, we are to Prepare The Way for His Work, not ours.
He sends us forth with seeds to sow, with feet wrapped in His Gospel of Peace. Following Him we sometimes will go through valleys, over mountains, through water and mire to get to these who He seeks. The more we follow Him helping to do His Work, the more we strengthen our relationship with Him, the more we learn about who we really are, the more we understand His teachings and His mission. The more we are changed into His Love. The closer we are drawn to God.
In Zechariah 4:6 the Lord says... ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty!
None of us can Give what we Don't have, but What we do have in our hearts is what we give.
If we fix our mouths say one thing because it sounds right and allows us to appear to be of like minds with the others, but in our heart we believe a different thing and with our actions we back up our hearts, then we are not in agreement with ourselves. We are divided against ourselves.
A house divided cannot and will not stand because it has a bad foundation. We each are a home for God. If the room of our mind is not in agreement with the room of our heart and the room of our spirit and the room of our soul has it's own direction, then we are divided against ourselves, and will not stand. We don't have a proper foundation.
ahhhh,
That place where and when It Clicks, and we understand that the preparation of the Way of our Lord that must be Done First is within our own Hearts, before we can prepare the Way for Him to come into the hearts of others.
