We have to Remember on Purpose to Focus our thoughts. It is so easy to become distracted with all the noise of the world, the noise of fears, sadness, disappointment, past mistakes, lies, and just plain foolishness. We become distracted with our desires, plans, and wants, our needs and lack shout to be heard and given attention, driving us to try and manipulate situations to go a certain way.
The Noise of comparisons, the noise of jealousy, of hurt and pain, of sickness and illnesses....
They All compete for our attention. Quiet is needed for us to focus and remain truthful and strong. Boldness is necessary over our emotions and self will, so that we are walking, living and moving Through the Spirit of our Lord.
The Lord wants us to Focus on Him, to Allow His Love and Faithfulness to Be the Loudest Sound we Hear. He desires for us to React in and through Love and Faith to all things that come against His purposes, plans and will for our lives. To quiet those things that compete for His Glory!
So that when we speak Power combined with our Faith, "PEACE! Be STILL!"
Every thing Calms Down!
These distraction create resistance to the changes He desires to Make in us and for us. They are sent to steal our faith, joy, power, love, to make us stagnant in His purposes for the Building up of His Kingdom here on earth as it is in Heaven. His Kingdom is Within Us--In our Hearts!
They create stress, confusion and we end up with a mind that wanders through scattered thoughts, entertaining the "what ifs, and the "but".
Use your gifts of Self-Control and Push yourself to stay focused on His Love and purposes for each day. Every time ramblings, negative and useless thoughts invade your mind,
Focus on Today's purpose, since we live One day at a time. Remember, that Today Is Enough For Today!
We have to re-train/re-teach ourselves to React to every problem, trouble, sickness, illness, every health issue, every lack and need, every angry person, every rejection, every hindrance, with Love and Faith.
Using our gifts of Self-control and Self-discipline Keeps our emotions from guiding our reaction, so that our hurt and pain, our unresolved issues do not move us to react through them. These are dead, toxic places in us that we give power to because we will not Face them and kill them with the Truth of God's Love.
If we feed and water these emotional responses, then we are saying that they have power over us, we are saying we would rather have them instead of the Holy Spirit as our comforter. We are saying that we would rather be defensive toward every thing and person that God sends to Speak the Truth of the Lord that we Need to hear so that we will be Cleansed of these dead, toxic places in our hearts.
These are every day things that are Out of Our Control --we have No power to change them without the Power of God's Holy Spirit Helping us to do so. These are the things that Must be handed over to God in the name of Jesus so that He is able to turn them all around, to manipulate them into Glory for Him and Victory for us. We Must cooperate with His Spirit in order to Allow spiritual and emotional growth and maturity to continue to do what God sent them to do.
All of these distractions are sent to make us and keep us unproductive and to move us away from being obedient to His leading and Love. To keep us off balance, to keep us in darkness and to keep clarity away from our minds. If we hold on and water these seeds of distraction we will end up as hypocrites, our mouths will speak LOVE, but our Hearts will be against all things that God Is.
I Encourage you to Focus your mind and push away negative, and unproductive thoughts and ways- to Call upon and allow the Holy Spirit to Cleanse our spiritual lives, to make the atmosphere and environment CLEAN so that we are able to Receive greater clarity for the Purpose we are to accomplish on this day.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will bring to pass all the visions, plans, purposes and Love that you are in need of.
