OH MY LORD, COME BY HERE!

Oh we need you, my Lord, Kum ba yah!
I'M SO GLAD TO KNOW YOU CARE!

Hear me singing, my Lord, Kum ba yah!
Hear me singing, my Lord, Kum ba yah!
Hear me singing, my Lord, Kum ba yah!
Oh Lord! Kum ba yah!
I'M SO GLAD TO KNOW YOU CARE!

This morning as every morning, I started off with my prayers to God in the name of Jesus before everyone else awoke. Sometimes I sit in the bed and pray, praise and thank My Lord for everything. Other times I may quietly walk through the house giving Praise and Thanksgiving to the Father for everything.....
How ever His Spirit leds me to move--I do so.
***************
One of our daughters is a special needs child. She is 11 years old, and there are just some things she does not understand about our world--about living--about boundries...about so many things....why some children and adults are cruel, mean and dismissive toward her. "I just want to be friends mommy"--she tells me. As i fight back tears i start humming my simple song.
****************
Her body is developing on point, (hormones-which are adding to her inability to deal)- but her mind is delayed in some areas.
I asked God for a child and He gave me her--I am humbly grateful to the Father for His love for me and my child. That He felt I was the right one to raise a special needs child is a great honor. I know He loves me to give me a child that needs a lot more than most children do.
*****************
There are many challenges that arise daily for her to overcome and for myself also. Overcoming for her takes much time--days, weeks, months and years.
I sing all the time to the Father that we cannot do this by outselves--to Please Come By Here my LORD-and see about us every day! I'M SO GLAD TO KNOW YOU CARE, Amen.
*******************
This morning, she was off center--her center that is. And I could not allow her to escalate in speaking and acting with such a negative attitude because she was not able to have her way concerning a few things. As she started talking in a disrespectful way toward all of us in the house I had to 'clip her'--correct her behaviour.
In the end, she had a "meltdown". At a certain point I put her in my lap as I sat in the rocking chair in order to hold her and comfort her. That is the only way to help her calm down once she gets that 'worked up'.
*************************
As I sat there, I remembered how when she was much younger, I would sing to her a very simple song to help calm her down.
A very simple prayer.
I remembered how I would sing the simple song for my strength also-to ease my pain--as it is very hard to be a mother and see your child in pain and confused and there is nothing you can do to help her--nothing I can do to change the way her mind works--nothing I can do to repair the disabilities that are a part of her and will be a part of her for her entire life.
************************
I wonder if the teachers will be patient with her--take out extra time to make sure she understands the work at hand. I wonder if the children she approachs to be friends with will call her names today and run from her --i wonder if she will cry today because she is confused and just does not understand what is going on.
As I wonder these things, I move my thinking toward the Lord, and my wonder turns into a simple prayer--a simple song to call upon the name of Jesus for His presence in all that we do.
**********************
And The Spirit of the Lord led me to share this with you. My HOPE is that by sharing with you how Jesus helps me and my family-that this will bless you-- as you live day by day with the trials, challenges and tribulations that we all encounter day by day.
************************
Singing this song to her and to myself--calling on The LORD to come by here and see about us--calmed us both down and she was ready to go to school this morning. I will continue to sing this song all day--to sing this prayer to Jesus all day to remind Him that I am humbly grateful that He remembers us!
***********************
I Encourage you to sing this simple song--to say this simple prayer to The LORD, and be assured that He Will Come By There!
Whatever the challenge is that you are facing - hunger, lack of money for bills, lack of clothing, a job, healing, sickness, abuse, sadness, depression -- What ever you need= make it a verse in the song and sing to the LORD and He will Stop By where You Are and See about YOU! He makes all the difference IN me, IN you, IN us all! In the name of Jesus, I say, Amen!
